Description

In addition to all the great features of the standard Convertible, this transit model is WC19 compliant, allowing the user a safe and secure ride in compatible vans or buses. The Convertible features two sets of wheels for independent, or dependant mobility, and the large rear wheels are quick release, making the chair easier to fold than conventional wheelchairs. With more than twenty different positioning options the Convertible is ideal for customizing for comfort or a growth spurt. The chair also features a patented folding mechanism that widens according to the user's weight, eliminating the risk of accidental folding.

Seat Width

It's important for the wheelchair to be fitted properly and be as narrow as possible while maintaining comfort and safety. This will insure the best performance for navigating tight areas both inside the home as well out in public spaces.

A wheelchair that is too narrow or too wide can cause discomfort. When too narrow, a wheelchair can become restrictive and increase the likelihood of pressure sores, while when it's too wide, becomes more difficult to push due to the angle of the arms from the shoulders to the wheels.

To determine the necessary seat width, measure the rider's widest area of the body and add one inch. This will allow for optimum seat width while maintaining ideal usability, comfort and safety.

Drive Single Fold Ramp

The Drive single fold ramp is durable, lightweight and features a carry bag for easy transportation and storage. The ramp has perforated slots to keep water from collecting on the ramp, and the variety of sizes meet any elevation change.
